Sofia Vergara to star in revenge thriller ‘Bent'

SOFIA Vergara has joined Karl Urban and Andy Garcia on the cast of Bobby Moresco's upcoming revenge thriller Bent.
The film, which will be produced by Andrea Iervolino and Monika Bacardi through their Ambi Media Group and Joseph O'Donnell's Deadly Codes Productions, is from a screenplay written by Moresco, based on characters created by O'Donnell.
Vergara will play a ruthless, seductive government agent, who may or may not be on the side of Urban's character - a discredited narcotics detective who, upon his release from jail plans to seek revenge on the accuser who framed him and killed his partner. Garcia will portray his mentor, a retired cop who's fought corruption his entire career (via Variety).
Moresco won the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for Crash, which he shared with co-writer Paul Haggis. In 2012, he also received the Pioneer in Screenwriting Award at the Burbank International Film Festival. — AFP Relaxnews
