Four suspects including one Indonesian charged with kidnapping

KULAI: Four men including an Indonesian were charged in a magistrate's court here with kidnapping housewife a to secure Singapore S$5 million in ransom last month.
They were said to have committed the offence with three others still-at large, to kidnap Kuang Leng Leng, 44, at a house in Jalan Nuri 26, Bandar Putra.
The victim was allegedly held captive at a semi completed house at Kampung Lepau, Pelantar, Pengerang, Kota Tinggi, about 7am on February 21, 2017.
The non-bailable offence under Section 3 of the Kidnapping Act 1961 (Act 365), was read together with Section 34 of the Penal Code which carries the death penalty.
The four accused were three Malaysians Beh Joo Siong 31, Lee Fa Xian, 30, Soh Wei Lon, 35 , all from Johor, and Indonesian Agustinus Ratu, 39,
No plea was recorded.
Magistrate Azlan Bohari fixed April 26 for the case to be mentioned pending DNA reports.
DPP Noor Farhana Adham prosecuted while the accused were not represented.
