Wan Azizah in stable condition

PETALING JAYA: Opposition leader Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail is in a stable condition after being admitted into hospital on Monday.
PKR communications director Fahmi Fadzil said Wan Azizah, who is also the party president, was recuperating well.
"She is undergoing routine medical check-up and is still under doctor's observation," he told theSun when contacted.
Wan Azizah was admitted into Al Islam Hospital in Kuala Lumpur on Monday and was later transferred to University Malaya Medical Centre the next day.
The nature of her ailment however could not be confirmed.
Fahmi said Wan Azizah might be discharged possibly in another one or two days, depending on the results of her medical check-up.
He added she had received numerous visitors while she was warded, including by Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Mohd Ali, wife of former premier Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
It was also reported that Wan Azizah's jailed husband and former opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim had visited her after receiving approval from the Sungai Buloh prison authorities.
Wan Azizah's political secretary Rodziah Ismail in a statement on Monday night said the opposition leader would not be able to attend the ongoing Dewan Rakyat and Selangor State Legislative Assembly sitting until her condition improved.
"However, her current condition is not alarming," Rodziah had said.
