GEORGE TOWN: Two automated teller machines (ATM) at a bank at Lintang Angsana in Bandar Baru Air Itam were damaged after it was vandalised late Tuesday night.
Northeast district police chief ACP Mior Faidalatrash Wahid said close circuit television (CCTV) recordings showed the suspect had went to the bank at 10.50pm.
He said footage showed the suspect performing transactions at one of the ATM machines, and he started becoming agitated soon after.
"The suspect then broke the screens of the ATMs with his helmet," he said in a statement today.
Police are now on the hunt for the man.
