Bintai Kinden awarded RM45m job in Singapore

PETALING JAYA: Bintai Kinden Corp Bhd’s 69.82% subsidiary Bintai Kindenko Pte Ltd yesterday accepted a letter of award for a S$14.2 million (RM44.94 million) contract to undertake sub-contract works for the Raffles Hotel and Shopping Arcade in Singapore.
The job award came from Sunray Woodcraft Construction Pte Ltd.
Bintai Kindenko is to undertake sub-contract works for the supply, delivery, installation, testing and commissioning including maintenance for mechanical and electrical works in respect of the proposed additions and alterations to the existing three-storey hotel and shopping arcade.
“No major risk is foreseeable on the contract and it is a non-renewable construction contract with fixed contract period. The sub-contract work is estimated to be completed by June 2018,” Bintai Kinden said in a stock exchange filing.
The contract will not have any effect on the issued and paid up share capital of the company and is not expected to have any material impact on the earnings, earnings per share, net assets per share and gearing of the group for financial year ending March 31, 2017.
However, it is expected to contribute positively towards the future earnings of Bintai group.
