(Videos) Korean Billy a big hit in the UK

A SOUTH Korean in England became an Internet sensation after his series of videos mimicking an array of accents from across the UK went viral.
Kong Seong-Jae's interest in the various British dialects was piqued when he was at the University of Central Lancashire as an exchange student in 2015.
Known on social media as Korean Billy, he translates UK slangs in several smash hit video clips. Billy has taken on the Geordie dialect to Brummie and Scouse.
In one video, he explains to fans the meaning of phrases such as "you're so bait, fam. You ate my chicken nuggets init?" and "allow it! That joke was bare dry, fam!"
He says: "As London is a multicultural city, there are quite a few dialect words in London. And especially today we're going to talk about London street slang words or so-called roadman dialect words."
He begins with "mandem", saying "this word looks a bit strange, right?"
Billy then explain that "mandem" in fact means a male friend or a group of friends, before providing example sentences.
He clarifies: "When someone says oi! Mandem! That means they're calling a friend."
Billy's Scouse videos have had more than 400,000 views and since his Scouse video he has gone on to do other British accents from London, Newcastle and more.
"I've always been interested in working as a broadcaster, so after graduation, I thought I could just try making my own broadcasts and make my own channel, so that's how I launched the Korean Billy YouTube channel," he was quoted by the Liverpool Echo as saying.
