Mention of case involving possession of Daesh related materials set for May 11

KUANTAN: The magistrate's court here today set May 11 for mention of the case involving a security guard who allegedly possessed pictures and books related to the Daesh terrorist group.
Magistrate Nordiana Abdul Aziz set the date after allowing an application by DPP Mohamad Shahrizzat Amadan informing the prosecution was still awaiting a report from experts.
Ekanovaldi Abbas, 37, was charged with possessing 32 pictures stored on his mobile phone gallery, and four books related to the terrorist group at his house in Taman Tas here, at 12.30 pm on Jan 27.
The accused was charged under Section 130JB (1)(a) of the Penal Code which carries a jail term of up to seven years or a fine, or be deprived of the right to any of the items, if found guilty. – Bernama
