LEVI’S introduced the newly remastered Levi’s Orange Tab collection at the recent celebration of its first-ever Set The Standard (STS) store in Pavilion Elite Kuala Lumpur.
First used on a line of affordable slim-fitting jeans, jackets and shirts, Levi’s Orange Tab symbolised style and youth during the counterculture of the 1960s. For Spring 2017, Orange Tab features vintage-inspired finishes along with updated fits and fabrics.
Highlights of the men’s fits include an Orange Tab take on Levi’s 510 Skinny and new 505C, where fabrics are based on archival 60s and 70s Orange Tab fabric but with added stretch for a modern touch.
Tops, tees, and knits are made a little more loose for comfort and ease of movement, while the Orange Tab work shirt is a hybrid of the classic western and work shirts. The iconic trucker jacket gets some Orange Tab treatment in the form of the arcuate and welt pockets. The price ranges between RM69 and RM499.
For the ladies, Levi’s classic 517 cropped jeans takes the lead, followed by a cropped version of the new 505C, a 721 Vintage High Rise, and a workwear-inspired culotte – all of which equipped with details ranging from additional belt loops to patch pockets.
Tees and tops sport Levi’s logos and prints pulled right out of the Orange Tab archives, while seasonal products like the Orange Tab overalls and vented skirt personify the signature vintage look of the 60s and 70s. The price ranges between RM69 and RM269.
