Number of flood victims in Perak on the rise

IPOH: The number of flood victims in Perak increased to 293 people from 69 families as at 6.30pm today compared to 279 people from 65 families this morning.
The State Disaster Management Committee secretariat in a statement today, said three relief centres remained open in Larut, Matang, Selama district as well as in Kerian district.
"We have additional victims in Kerian district and the total number of victims at Dewan Orang Ramai Lalang is now 108 people from 29 families.
"At Dewan Orang Ramai Kampung Alor Setanggok there are 89 victims from 17 families," the statement said.
Meanwhile in Larut, Matang and Selama district 96 villagers from 23 families are being sheltered at the Kelip-kelip Kampung Dew surau. — Bernama
