NILAI: Negri Sembilan deputy police chief, SAC Muhamad Zaki Harun stressed that he will not compromise with any officers and personnel involved in indiscipline including taking bribes.
On the other hand, he said the police and the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) were committed to realising the government's aspiration of zero corruption.
"It is indeed the trust and responsibility of the MACC in discharging their duty and we agree with their action.
"So, we leave it to MACC to investigate and we ourselves will conduct internal investigation to determine what needs tightening," he told Bernama at the community policing and safe town carnival here today.
He was commenting on cases involving enforcement officers who were charged in court by MACC lately.
On March 28, the media reported that 11 policemen and officers and customs personnel in the state had their statements taken by MACC over false claims on hotel stay when ordered to do official duties, whereas they did not stay at the hotels. — Bernama
