Mudajaya bags RM58.3m LRT3 job

    PETALING JAYA: Mudajaya Group Bhd’s subsidiary Mudajaya Corporation Bhd has bagged a RM58.29 million job from Prasarana Malaysia Bhd for the Light Rail Transit Line 3 (LRT3) from Bandar Utama to Johan Setia, in Selangor.
    The contract is for the manufacture, supply and delivery of precast pier caps and related works.
    The project is to start by the second quarter of 2017 and be completed by the end of 2019.The job is expected to start contributing positively to the earnings of the group from the financial year ending 2017.
    In a separate announcement, Mudajaya said it received a letter of notification from its investment company in India, RKM Powergen Pvt Ltd, that its Unit 1 started the sale of 200MW electricity to several power distribution companies in Uttar Pradesh on April 2.
    The sale is based on a schedule to supply from Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd (UPPCL).
    The sale of the remaining 150MW is pending approval from UPPCL subsequent to the Champa-Kurukshetra 800kV HCDC pole and 765 kV Jaipur-Bhiwani transmission line which was commissioned recently as notified by Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd to RKM on March 27.
    The power sale is expected to contribute positively to the group’s earnings from the financial year ending 2017 onwards.
