Five teenagers suspected to be involved in house break-ins

ISKANDAR PUTERI: Five teenagers including three secondary school pupils were arrested for house break-ins.
Iskandar Puteri police district chief superintendent Nor Hashim Mohamad said the teenagers were arrested while they were inside a house in Taman Mutiara Rini on Tuesday.
He added the house owner, a woman, had returned home from work about 9pm on April 4 when she noticed someone inside the house.
She immediately alerted her husband who was inside the house and upon checking, he apprehended two teenagers.
Nor Hashim said the couple alerted the police who in turn arrested the teenagers.
Upon interrogation, the suspects led police to the arrest of another two teenagers from whom they seized RM600 and a car key.
The suspects, aged between 14 and 18 years old tested positive for drugs when a urine test was taken.
Police believe the gang have been active in the Gelang Patah area, around the Rakyat Prima housing cluster. The case will be investigated under Section 457 for gang robbery.
