Pakatan Harapan is DAP's puppet, says Umno man

BERA: All decisions made by Members of Parliament from Pakatan Harapan, even those who are Muslims, are fully controlled by DAP parliamentary head Lim Kit Siang, an Umno man said today.
Umno Supreme Council member Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said this became clear when the motion to amend the Syariah Courts (Criminal Jurisdiction) Act 1965 (RUU 355) was tabled recently.
He said during the tabling of the motion, DAP showed the public that they will be in control of the government if Pakatan Harapan were to win the coming general election.
""Everything is "remote controlled" by Lim Kit Siang. The public should be aware that if the opposition controls the government, everything will be controlled by Lim and the rest will be his puppets.
"PKR and Amanah who claim Islamic credentials don't seem to have any power in Pakatan because they continue to take orders from Lim," Ismail Sabri told a press conference after officiating the Bera Wanita Muda futsal charity tournament.
Several opposition MPs from DAP and PKR had attempted to prevent the motion from being tabled in Parliament by raising several motions to the speaker Tan Sri Pandikar Amin Mulia just as the amendments were about to be tabled.
Ismail Sabri said Pakatan parties other than DAP don't have any real decision making power although the issue involves Muslims.
He said they are mere "puppets" and for their political survival they follow the orders given by DAP when it comes to making decisions.
"The Muslims MPs in PKR, DAP, PAN, Bersatu and Warisan did not support the amendments although I believe in their hearts they support the Bill because they are Muslims," he said.
The Rural and Regional Development Minister said there is no reason for anyone especially Muslim MPs to reject the Syariah Courts (Criminal Jurisdiction) Act amendments because the issue does not involve non-Muslims.
"If all Muslims MPs supported the amendments, it will not be a problem for the government to approve RUU 355 amendments and implement Syariah law," Ismail Sabri said.
