Chef Ramsay in vadai insult storm

10 Apr 2017 / 09:15 H.

CHEF Gordon Ramsay got himself into a social media tiff after he made a nasty remark about a Mumbai Twitter user's dish. The hot-tempered, foul-mouthed celebrity chef was asked by the Twitter user to rate his "medu vada sambar and nariyal chutney".
Ramsay, true to his TV personality, made a biting remark. The celebrated chef replied: "I didn't know you can tweet from prison".
The man from Mumbai, who goes by the Twitter handle Rameez, didn't find Ramsay's comment funny.
Another Tweeter user thought Ramsay should be able to take sharp criticism as well as he gives, so he retorted: "Every cuisine that you're ignorant about is not from prison!"
This, of course, drew comments from other users. One tweeted: "Well at least this prison food tastes a lot better than your half cooked steak."
Aspiring chefs have been tweeting pictures of their culinary creations to Ramsay for rating, and he has also not spared many his biting wit. "Fifty Cents of Durian stench" was his reply to durian-flavoured dishes.
