Police find M16 in car abandoned by fleeing man

IPOH (Jan 1, 2014): Police found an M16 which was left by a man in a car by the roadside at Km24 Jalan Gerik-Jeli early this morning.
Perak Police chief Datuk Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani said in the 4am incident, an Ops Cantas team received information about a man behaving in a suspicious manner.
"The man shot at police pursuing him several times before he stopped the car and ran into the jungle," he said.
He said police were tracking down the man and carrying out investigations, especially to find out how the firearm ended in the suspect's car. – Bernama
