Three video clip actors give statements today

KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 11, 2014): The three 'actors' involved in the video clip "Onederful Malaysia CNY 2014" which was linked to the Member of Parliament for Seputeh, Teresa Kok, were present at the Kuala Lumpur Police Contingent Headquarters to give their statements today.
Kuala Lumpur Acting CID Chief, ACP Khairi Ahrasa said the police recorded statements from two male actors, aged 32 and 36, at 10.30am regarding the video clip case.
"A 32-year-old woman who played the character 'Mrs Jit' had also given her statement at 3pm today," he said here.
The case was being investigated under Section 505 (B) of the Penal Code and Section 233 (1)(a) of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 for making statements which were alleged to have insulted the national leader.
"The Member of Parliament for Seputeh will also be called up to give her statement in the near future," he said.
In the video clip that lasted almost 12 minutes, Teresa Kok had acted as the host who interviewed three guests on the Feng Shui during the Chinese New Year recently.
The three invited guests invited by Kok had made sarcastic statements on several issues, including on the national leader, education system and security issues in Sabah.
Meanwhile, Lim Ching Miau, who played the part of 'Mrs Jit', when approached by reporters claimed that she did not know that the character she was acting had some similarities with the wife of the country's leader.
"I received the script on the day the video clip was shot," she said.
Meanwhile, the man believed to be acting the character of Master Yan Yan in the video clip, said that he only played the part given to him when the video clip was recorded.
Asked on the fee received for his part, the man replied: "You (media) can ask Teresa Kok on the payment, the rest I don't want to comment," he said.
Bernama tried to get the comment of another actor who played the part of "Brother Wai", but was unsuccessful as he quickly left the police headquarters compound in a Honda City car. – Bernama
