'Tuhan Harun' case postponed to March 17

    KUANTAN: The High Court has postponed the case of the Tuhan Harun leader Harun Mat Saat and three of his followers to March 17.
    They are accused of killing Pahang Islamic Religious Department (JAIP) principal assistant head of Enforcement, Ahmad Raffli Abd Malek, Justice Datuk Ab Karim Ab Rahman today fixed the date following the application by deputy public prosecutor Khalmizah Salleh that the court hear simultaneously the murder case and abetment to murder which were only submitted on Wednesday.
    Counsel Hermes Media Putra Ibrahim, who represented all four accused, also made an application that the court grant bail to Harun, 48, based on his poor health. Ab Karim later fixed both applications to be read simultaneously on that date.
    On Dec 16 last year, one of the followers, Sumustapha Suradi, 39, from Sabah, pleaded not guilty to killing Ahmad Raffli. – Bernama
