Four road accidents claim 14 lives

    PETALING JAYA: A total of 14 people died in four accidents today.
    In Jempol, near Seremban, a family of four perished in a crash involving two cars at Km22 of Jalan Bahau-Keratong early today, police said.
    The dead were Mohd Fauzan Abu Bakar, 33, his wife Nurhidayah Ngah, 29, and their daughters Nur Ain Shahiera, six, and 10-month-old Nur Aina Shahmiera.
    The accident happened at about 6am as the family was travelling from Terengganu to Port Dickson.
    In Klang, four teenage boys were burnt to death after their car crashed into a post and smashed into a shop house in front of the Kapar police station early today, police said.
    The dead were the driver Ang Chin Fu, 18, and back seat passengers Lee Boon Huat, Chong Chee Seng, and Chew Yee Ying, all 19.
    Meanwhile in Ipoh, four people died in a crash between a lorry and a car on the Ipoh-Kuala Lumpur trunk road near the junction to Gua Tempurung early today.
    The identities of the victims had yet to be established.
    In another accident, a Poslaju lorry driver and attendant were burnt to death in a crash involving three vehicles on the North-South Expressway (south-bound) near Seremban early today.
    Hasmadi Safar and Mohd Shahrim Mohd Saad were travelling south when a trailer travelling north rammed the rear of a lorry at Km251.9 at 4.10am.
    The trailer then veered to the south-bound side of the highway and collided with the Poslaju lorry.
    The impact of the collision caused the trailer and the Poslaju lorry to catch fire. – Bernama
