JARED Leto (pix) sported unwashed hair at the Oscars.
The 'Dallas Buyers Club' actor - who won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor in the biographical drama on Sunday (02.03.14) - began styling his hair in preparation for the bash on the Saturday so his ombre locks would looked lived-in.
Stylist Chase Kusero told Refinery29.com: "[Jared] did the Independent Spirit Awards [on Saturday], which are a much more casual event. So, I put a little product -- the [Vidal Sassoon] Creme Pomade and the Heat Protect & Shine Spray - and we let that sit in. Then today we bent a couple of pieces with a flat iron.
"[I don't do the flat iron] every time, but I just wanted to separate the hair more - we wanted it to be something more natural. He's got incredible hair, but I wanted it to not look too done. We wanted it to be the most true sense of Jared Leto."
The 42-year-old star's stylist claims he intentionally makes the star's hair "less done" to add to the hunk's manly look.
He added: "Sometimes we try to make it look less done. He's a guy in the truest sense of the word who [just happens to have] great long hair."
Jared wore a white suit which he paired with a red bow tie with his mane hanging in lose waves at the prestigious Hollywood ceremony. – Bang Media
