MH370 spat disrupts Dewan sitting

KUALA LUMPUR: The Dewan Rakyat session yesterday was temporarily disrupted when opposition and government MP engaged in a war of words on the missing MH370 flight.
Mohamad Imran Abd Hamid (PKR-Lumut) sparked the argument by implying that the government had failed to handle the incident decently.
"After five days the aircraft is probably at the bottom of the sea.
If possible, the prime minister and Acting Transport Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein should present themselves in the Dewan tomorrow to provide an explanation," he said while debating the motion of thanks on the royal address.
Khalid Samad (PAS-Shah Alam) then interjected and said the government must be responsible and accept criticisms for its weaknesses and shortcomings in handling the incident.
He also chided the government for not acting promptly after receiving a report of the missing aircraft, causing the international community to lash out at the country.
A barrage of condemnations and accusations then followed between the two sides.
Meanwhile, Datuk Shamsul Anuar Nasarah (BN-Lenggong) said it was better for all parties to cooperate on finding the best solution to locate the missing aircraft. – Bernama
