No contradictions on ACARS info: Hishammuddin

SEPANG: Seeming contradictions about MH370's Aircraft Communications Addressing and Reporting System (ACARS) is just an update of new information, the government said today.
Defence minister and acting transport minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin said the statement that the ACARS was turned off before the pilot signed off for the last time was approved by investigators from other countries and Malaysia Airlines (MAS) only clarified the information as the situation develops.
"The statement on Saturday was drafted by all countries and agencies involved such as the NTSB (the American National Transport Safety Board) and China, MAS was only clarifying the information yesterday (Monday)," Hishammuddin said.
