Fracas at KLIA

SEPANG: A fracas between several family members of missing Chinese passengers of flight MH370 and policemen occurred at the media centre at the Sama-Sama Hotel in Sepang today, after the foreign nationals slipped unnoticed into the auditorium at 4.45pm.
Emotions boiled over as they wailed and poured their hearts out to newsmen who were there for the daily press conference by Acting Transport Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein.
Three women and a man carrying a banner that decried the lack of information on the aircraft and passengers, lamented loudly in Mandarin about their plight.
When word got around to members of the media outside, more than 100 local and foreign reporters and photographers in three other adjacent rooms and a banquet hall rushed in to investigate the commotion.
Within minutes, several policemen forced their way through the jostling pressmen to remove two women and a man from the auditorium.
They were then taken to one of the media rooms nearby.
The fourth foreigner, a woman believed to be in her late 50s whose son is among the missing passengers, continued speaking to reporters in the auditorium.
"I have now been here for 12 days and we want answers from Malaysia Airlines and the Malaysian government. I am not here to eat and play," she told reporters in Mandarin.
Several minutes later, when policemen finally managed to get to her, she refused to leave the room. She broke down and cried loudly as policemen carried her out of the place.
It is learnt that the intruders were counselled before being released. Security at the media centre was beefed up after the incident.
Hishammuddin later told the media that he understood the feelings of foreigners who are making claims of insufficient information on their loved ones.
"We have sent a second high-level team to Beijing to appease them. It's heart-wrenching, even to me," he said.
