THIS is one of those movies that look like they were put together by their directors after ­watching several spy thriller DVDs.

FOR some reason Juliette’s touch is fatal, a curse that causes her to be ­ostracised all her life. She is shunned by all – even her parents cannot deal with the fact that their daughter has this curse, or is it a gift?

Finally at the age of 14, she is locked away – out of sight and out of mind.

THE movie focuses on the life of ­Margaret Thatcher, the former prime mnister of the United Kingdom, who had to break through the barriers of gender and class to be heard in a male-dominated world. She eventually rose to the top but paid a heavy price for power.

I am happy to report that my all-time favourite actress Meryl Streep did not disappoint.
