Mazda CX-3 wins Thailand Car of the Year 2016

MAZDA Motor Corporation has announced that the Mazda CX-3 subcompact crossover SUV has been named Thailand Car of the Year 2016 by the Thai Automotive Journalists Association.

New models assembled in Thailand and launched between Oct 1, 2015 and Sept 30, 2016 were eligible for Thailand Car of the Year 2016. The CX-3 was chosen as the top pick among ten finalists by a judging panel comprising over 40 automotive journalists.

The CX-3 was the fifth model in Mazda's new-generation line-up of vehicles featuring SkyActiv technology and "Kodo - Soul of Motion" design. It combines premium styling with dimensions and packaging that make it easy to use in any situation and performance that makes it a genuine pleasure to drive. Production of the award-winning CX-3 began at Auto Alliance (Thailand) Co Ltd, Mazda's production facility in Thailand, in Oct 2015 and 4,787 units of the model were sold in the country in 2016.

Mazda will exhibit the updated CX-3 for the first time in Thailand at the 38th Bangkok International Motor Show. The show opened to special guests yesterday, to the press today, and is open to the general public from tomorrow through Apr 9.
