TERMS & CONDITION OF THESUN x INDAH WATER KONSORTIUM, IWK e-Bil Jer! CONTEST
THIS CONTEST IS ORGANISED AND MANAGED BY SUN MEDIA CORPORATION SDN BHD (theSun)
1.0 Eligibility:
1.1 THESUN x INDAH WATER KONSORTIUM (IWK) SDN BHD, IWK e-Bil Jer! CONTEST (“The contest”) is opened to residents of Malaysia aged 18 years and above.
1.2 Employees, officers, directors or representatives of theSun or any of the Organiser’s subsidiaries, affiliates, and agencies; competition judges; and the parents, siblings, children, and persons domiciled with such individuals as listed above are not eligible to enter and/or win prizes allocated via this competition which is targeted for the public.
2.0 Agreement to Rules:
2.1 By submitting entry, the contestant agrees to comply with and abide by the rules of the contest, the decisions of theSun, and the contestant represent and warrant that he/she meet the eligibility requirements.
2.2 In addition, the contestant agrees to accept theSun’s decisions as final and binding as it relates to the content of this campaign.
2.3 theSun will not entertain any questions, inquiries, complaints, comments or issues with regards to contest.
3.0 Entry submission period:
3.1 Entry submission begins at 4th SEPTEMBER 2023 - 6:00 AM Malaysian time and ends on 13th SEPTEMBER 2023, 11:00 PM Malaysian time.
3.2 Entries submitted before or after this time will not be eligible.
4.0 How to Enter:
4.1 Social Media

Step 2: Like & Share the contest post
Step 3: Answer the questions in the contest website; by key-in the answer.
Step 4: With Hashtag #IWKeBilJer# and tag 3 friends to be entitled to participate and stand a chance to win this contest.

4.2 On Website
4.2.1 The contest must be entered by submitting an entry using the online form provided at the contest website at https://www.thesundaily.my/services/forms/thesun-iwk-contest
4.2.2 The contest website is accessible by clicking on the contest post shared in theSundaily’s Facebook or Online Full Banner on the website.
4.2.3 The contestant must answer the correct answers in the crossword and write down in the column provided in the contest website; by keying the answer.
4.2.4 The contestant must provide the information requested in the form under the question tab.
4.2.5 The contestant must complete the contest form in order to successfully submit the entry.
4.2.6 Entries that are incomplete or do not meet the requirement of contest’s Terms and Conditions will be disqualified at the sole discretion of theSun.
4.2.7 Multiple entries using different email addresses, identities, or devices in an attempt to circumvent the terms and conditions of the contest will result in disqualification at the sole discretion of theSun.
4.2.8 Once entry is submitted, the entry is deemed final and any request for revision or transfer will not be entertained.
5.0 Winners selection
Only participants who fulfil the contest mechanism requirement and with the number of correct answers will be eligible to win the prizes.
6.0 Prizes
6.1 Fifty-Five (55) winners will be chosen and based on 1st come first serve basis.
6.2 Each winner is entitled to ONE (1) IWK Merchandise item.
6.2 Substitution of the prize or transfer/assignment of the prize to others or request for cash equivalent of the prize by the winner will not be given.
6.3 Winners list will be posted on theSun’s Website & Facebook as well as in the 18 September 2023.
6.4 All the prizes to be collected at theSun Corporation Sdn. Bhd office.
7.0 Liability
7.1 theSun shall have no liability for a contestant’s failure to receive notices due to spam, junk e-mail or other security settings or for a contestant’s provision of incorrect or otherwise non-functioning email address.
7.2 theSun/IWK shall have no liability for a contestant’s failure to receive prizes due to incorrect or otherwise incorrect mailing address.
7.4 theSun/IWK will do its utmost best to send the contest prize to winners via secured registered mail and will not provide replacement prizes in the event of lost, late, postage due, misdirected, or undelivered mail.
8.0 Rights to the organiser.
8.1 By participating in this contest, the contestant understands and agree that theSun and its authorised representative, shall have the right, where permitted by law, to print, publish, broadcast, distribute, and use in any media now known or hereafter developed, in perpetuity and throughout the World, without limitation, the contestant’s entry, name, statements about theSun, and biographical information for news, publicity, information, trade, advertising, public relations, and promotional purposes without any further compensation, notice, review, or consent.
8.2 By participating in this contest, the contestant represents and warrant that his/her entry is an original work of authorship, and does not violate any third party’s proprietary or intellectual property rights.
8.3 If the contestant’s entry infringes upon the intellectual property right of another, the entry will be disqualified at the sole discretion of theSun.
8.4 If the contestant’s entry is claimed to constitute infringement of any proprietary or intellectual proprietary rights of any third party, the contestant shall, at his/her sole expense, defend or settle against such claims.
8.5 The contestant hall indemnifies, defend, and hold harmless theSun from and against any suit, proceeding, claims, liability, loss, damage, costs or expense, which theSun may incur, suffer, or be required to pay arising out of such infringement or suspected infringement of any third party’s right.
8.6 theSun reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the contest should virus, bug, non-authorised human intervention, fraud, or other cause beyond theSun’s control corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, or proper conduct of the contest. In such cases, theSun may select a winner(s) from eligible entries received before and/or after appropriate remedial action has been taken.
8.7 theSun reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers or attempts to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the contest or website or violates these Terms & Conditions.
8.8 theSun has the right, in its sole discretion, to maintain the integrity of the contest, to void entries for any reason, including, but not limited to: multiple entries from the same user from different IP addresses; multiple entries from the same computer in excess of that allowed by the contest rules; or the use of bots, macros, scripts, or other technical means for entering.
8.9 Any attempt by a contestant to deliberately damage any website or undermine the legitimate operation of the contest may be a violation of criminal and civil laws. Should such an attempt be made, theSun reserves the right to seek damages to the fullest extent permitted by law.
9.0 Limitation of Liability
By participating in the contest, the contestant agrees to release and hold harmless theSun and its subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, partners, representatives, agents, successors, assigns, employees, officers and directors from any liability, illness, injury, death, loss, litigation, claim or damage that may occur, directly or indirectly, whether caused by negligence or not, from
- a) such contestant’s participation in the contest and/or his/her acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any prize or any portion thereof;
- b) unauthorised human intervention in any part of the contest;
- c) electronic or human error in the administration of the contest or the processing of entries;
- d) technical errors of any kind, including but not limited to the malfunction of any computer, cable, network, hardware, or software, or other mechanical equipment;
- e) the unavailability or inaccessibility of any transmissions, telephone, or Internet service;
- f) printing errors;
- g) lost, late, postage due, misdirected, or undeliverable mail.
11.0 Disputes
10.1 The contest does not violate any federal, state, and local laws and regulations. By participating in the contest, the contestant agrees that any and all disputes that cannot be resolved between the parties, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this contest, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, exclusively before a court located in Malaysia having jurisdiction. Further, in any such dispute, under no circumstances shall the contestant be permitted to obtain awards for, and hereby waives all rights to, punitive, incidental, or consequential damages, including legal fees.
10.2 The contestant further waives all rights to have damages multiplied or increased.
11.0 Disclaimer
11.1 The contest is no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Meta, or any other social networks that are used to share the contest. The contestant understands that he/she is providing information to theSun and not to Meta or any other social networks.
