Huge turnout for MAPCU fair

    KUALA LUMPUR: A huge crowd turned up to visit the Malaysian Association of Private Colleges and Universities (MAPCU) 12th annual higher education fair 2015, today.
    Students, who completed their SPM and STPM examinations last year, lined up to enter the fair, even before the 11am opening time, at the Mid Valley Exhibition Centre to get information on their preferred courses or colleges.
    About 120 booths, consisting local and international universities and colleges provided essential information on tertiary education.
    The Perbadanan Tabung Pendidikan Tinggi Nasional (PTPTN) booth and theSun booth, which is located at the same row is aimed at students who are interested in applying for loan or scholarships.
    MAPCU in partnership with theSun would be awarding a total of RM9 million worth of scholarship, which covers tuition fees at 18 institutions.
    The fair will be held on Jan 17 and Jan 18, 2015, from 11am to 6pm. Last year, about 21,000 people visited the fair. However, this year, a total of 25,000 visitors are expected to turn up over two days.
