PETALING JAYA: The Ministry of Energy, Green Technology and Water (KeTTHA) and Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) have dismissed cryptocurrency platform Coinzer’s claims on its affiliation with the two government agencies.
KeTTHA and TNB said in a joint statement today that the usage of the names of the two agencies in Coinzer’s white paper is misleading as the ministry and the national electric utility corporation have neither authorised nor endorsed it.
“KeTTHA and TNB would like to advise members of the public that the two are not affiliated or in any way connected with a cryptocurrency platform called Coinzer,” the statement read.
"KeTTHA and TNB also wish to advise that their names and logos should not be used without proper authorisation by any third party,” it added.
Earlier this week, Bank Negara Malaysia issued an alert on the platform, saying that it does not authorise or endorse the platform.
