TELUK INTAN: An allocation of RM2 million has been approved by the Finance Ministry for repair works, including the installation of floodlights, at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Seri Kandi Mini Stadium in Selabak here, said Teluk Intan Member of Parliament Nga Kor Ming today.
He said discussion had been held with the Hilir Perak District Education Office to open the mini-stadium for use by the public after it had been repaired.
"The mini-stadium will be opened for use by the public as there is no such facility in Teluk Intan yet, forcing residents to carry out their sports activities only at Padang Speedy.
"With the opening of the mini-stadium to the public, residents, especially those in Selabak and Padang Tembak can carry out their sports activities after work or at night there,@ he said in a statement here today. — Bernama
