Shell Malaysia Scholarship Programme opens for application

PETALING JAYA: The annual Shell Malaysia Scholarship Programme is now open for application.
The scholarship provides successful applicants the opportunity to pursue undergraduate studies in global top tier universities while participating in mentoring, internship programs as well as the opportunity to fulfil a career with Shell Malaysia.
"The scholarship offer is for candidates to be sponsored for 2 tiers - A-levels and undergraduates in prestigious colleges and universities locally and overseas.
"This, however, is subject to the scholastic performance of the student," Shell Malaysia said in a statement.
It added that they are looking to sponsor students intending to pursue higher education in the fields of engineering (mechanical, civil, chemical, petroleum, electrical & electronics), sciences (geology, geosciences, geomatics, and geophysics) and commercial (human resources, business & management).
"Among the requirements to be eligible for the scholarship is candidates must have strong leadership skills and active participation in extracurricular activities such as societies and clubs, sports, etc, not presently holding other scholarships/loans, consistently have strong academic achievements such as (minimum 8As, either A or A+ in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) or excellent O-level grades at IGCSE.
"It is also important to note that candidates are able to work in the country where the scholarship program is offered prior to applying, must not exceed 18 years of age on the enrolment date for the foundation studies," it said.
Application for the scholarship is available until March 25.
