Use Touch 'n Go' to reduce congestion on PLUS

BAGAN SERAI: The Malaysian High Authority (MHA) is asking motorists to use the ‘Touch ‘n Go’ card facility being enforced on the North-South Expressway (PLUS) since April 26.
MHA chairman Datuk Dr Noor Azmi Ghazali said the use of the card would reduce congestion, especially during festive seasons besides raising the people’s mentality towards making Malaysia a developed nation by 2020.
“We need to think far because the ‘Touch ‘n Go’ card usage will ensure convenience for commuters using the expressway,” he told reporters after receiving the letter of appointment as advisor to the Kerian district Martial Arts Association in Sekolah Kebangsaan Gunung Semanggol near here yesterday.
Commenting on complaints from motorists on the enforcement of the ‘Touch ‘n Go’ card in PLUS since April 26, he said PLUS had given ample time to users to switch from manual payment to electronic transaction. — Bernama
