PETALING JAYA: Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) will publish its Annual Report 2019, Economic & Monetary Review 2019 (EMR 2019) and Financial Stability Review (FSR) for Second Half 2019 on April 3.
The central bank stated that it has taken a different approach in its publication for this year.
For its annual report, BNM aims to reach out to the members of the public to enable greater understanding of what it does, how it discharges its mandates and accountabilities as well as on its roles and functions.
In addition, the annual report will highlight the key operations and initiatives undertaken by the bank in 2019. It explained that the approach is also in line with the practice adopted by other central banks.
The EMR is more technical in nature and will focus on the central bank’s economic assessments and forecasts.
Meanwhile, the biannual FSR report is similarly a technical publication detailing the bank’s risks assessment with regards to financial stability.
