PETALING JAYA: Genetec Technology Bhd has secured new orders worth RM38.5 million in January 2020 from new and existing customers.
According to the group’s filing with the local bourse, the orders were from 12 customers for customised machines of assembly lines and supply of component parts in electronic, semiconductor, hard disk drive and automotive industries.
Of the RM38.5 million, some RM7 million came from the electronics, semiconductor and hard disk drive industries while the remaining RM31.5 million from the automotive industry.
Genetec said the tenure of each project ranges from three to nine month depending on the size of order and the scope of work involved.
The group expects the orders to contribute positively to its earnings for the financial year ending March 31, 2021.
At the midday break, the stock gained 2 sen to RM1.30 on 149,200 shares done.
