HLT expects to see effects of demand uptick from next month amid virus outbreak

PETALING JAYA: Glove-dipping lines manufacturer HLT Global Bhd said the group has seen an uptick in enquiries from China since the extended closure of factories there following the Covid-19 outbreak. The enquiries are expected to translate into orders in early March.

“We are seeing a positive sign with various new enquiries in different stages from China,“ said group director Chan Yoke Chin (pix) at a press conference following its patent license agreement with AF Solution Sdn Bhd and the inventor.

The patent agreement grants HLT the exclusive rights to market and use the triple former holder assembly technology.

The commercialisation process is expected to take six to 12 months and will be introduced simultaneously in Malaysia and its overseas markets.

The technology is expected to increase production output by 30%-50% while lowering operational cost and capital expenditure by 20%-30%.
