Taiwan Expo in Malaysia 2021 Online kicks off tomorrow

PETALING JAYA: Taiwan Expo in Malaysia returns this year following a big bang of 3D virtual reality exhibition last year held amid the Covid-19 restrictions.

Taiwan Expo in Malaysia 2021 Online, which is scheduled to run virtually from tomorrow to Friday, will bring exciting business opportunities through a wide range of innovative products, including smart devices, electronic mobility, healthcare and infection prevention products and more.

A total of 160 Taiwanese businesses will be showcasing their products, services, and technology directly to Malaysian business owners with the aim of building mutually beneficial business synergies.

The expo includes a total of 10 pavilions centred around six major pillars: Electronic Mobility, Post-pandemic Era, Industry 4.0, Taiwan Lifestyle Products, Tourism and Culture, and Halal Taiwan. A series of webinars covering segments such as smart healthcare, smart machinery and Taiwan halal products will be held during the expo.

Taiwan Expo has grown over the years to become the most important business exchange platform between Malaysia and Taiwan. This year marks the second consecutive year where the expo will be held online as the world continues to be mired in numerous restrictions imposed to combat this pandemic.

Business opportunities at your fingertips

Taiwan is a key player in the global smart vehicle market having been in the loop since the electric vehicle (EV) revolution. More than 30% of the components of Tesla’s first-generation Roadster were sourced from Taiwan, and subsequent models from Tesla continue to use many Taiwanese components. The E-Mobility Pavilion showcases state-of-the-art EV concepts and various implementations of the technology that are guaranteed to be an eye-opening experience.

On display in the Taiwan Healthcare Pavilion are many in-demand infection prevention solutions, antipathogen products, telemedicine systems, as well as a showcase of medical services from the famous Chang Gung Memorial Hospital and Taiwan’s world-renowned universal healthcare system. Taiwan Excellence will continue its annual tradition of showcasing the highest-quality award-winning brands from Taiwan. Other products and services not to be missed include Industry 4.0 solutions, fitness equipment, smart transportation systems and e-sports products.

Many boba tea brands that Malaysians have come to love are now halal certified and are expected to significantly expand their reach to more consumers. The Halal Taiwan Pavilion brings together nine manufacturers of halal certified products including food, biotechnology products, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics. Manufacturers are seeking Malaysian partners to break into the Muslim markets across Asean and the Middle East.

Taiwan in Design Pavilion casts the spotlight on lifestyle improvements, technology living, sports, tea culture, and environment protection in a perfect demonstration of Taiwanese creativity to the world. On the other hand, MEET Taiwan welcomes visitors to experience Taiwan for themselves once the pandemic is over by offering a peek of what Taiwan has to offer. Visitors will be able to enjoy a sneak preview of what some of the most popular travel destinations such as Chiayi City and Taipei City have to offer in beautifully crafted videos.
