THE upcoming new Honda Civic will come with Honda “Sensing”, Honda’s next-generation advanced safety technology, which offers a complete package that the company believes will be attractive to customers in Malaysia.
Refreshed with sportier and refined exterior, some of the new features include a new front bumper, new rear bumper garnish, new tailgate spoiler, new black painted front grille and new 18-inch alloy wheels to further enhance its sportiness.
Honda Malaysia is now accepting bookings for the new Civic ahead of its official launch in the fourth quarter of this year.
Honda Malaysia managing director and CEO Toichi Ishiyama said the new Civic is the third Completely Knock-Down (CKD) model from Honda Malaysia to be introduced with Honda “Sensing”, the brand’s next generation advanced safety technology, which offers a complete package that the company believes will be attractive to customers in Malaysia.
The company looks forward to Honda Sensing further strengthening the value of the new Civic as the game-changer, with Honda Sensing providing comfort, convenience and most importantly, safety.
Honda Sensing delivers three categories of safety suites that comprise eight features – adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow, forward collision warning, collision mitigation braking system, lane keep assist system, road departure mitigation, lane departure warning and auto high-beam – all of which fall under the aforementioned three categories: driver’s cruising aid, frontal collision deterrence and side collision deterrence.
Another new safety feature in the new Civic is the Honda LaneWatch camera and front sensor.
The former is an innovative camera-based technology in favour of blind-spot monitoring that enhances the driver’s view of left side traffic and provides a better view compared to using only the side view mirror.
Other standard features in the new Civic are remote engine start, electric parking brake, six airbags, Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist (BA), Emergency Stop Signal (ESS), Hill Start Assist (HSA), multi-angle rear-view camera and Isofix tethers.
Customers can now place a booking for the new Civic at all 98 Honda dealerships nationwide.
