THE Merdeka celebration is not over for Volkswagen fans, as Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) is now giving exclusive RM2,000 rebates on the two hottest performance hatches in town, the Golf GTI and Golf R.
The iconic GTI features a new 2.0TSI turbocharged engine paired with a six-speed wet clutch direct shift gearbox (DSG), with output being an impressive 227hp with 350Nm of torque.
Apart from its unmistakable honeycomb trimmings, the GTI comes with GTI “Vienna” perforated leather seats, 18-inch Milton Keynes alloy wheels, 12.3-inch active info display, eight-inch Discover Media with App-Connect, LED headlights with dynamic cornering lights, LED taillights with dynamic indicators.
The driving experience is further enhanced with Adaptive Chassis Control (DCC) and driving mode selection.
The Golf R, on the other hand, impresses with 286hp and 380Nm of torque, thanks to a 2.0TSI turbocharged engine mated to a seven-speed wet clutch DSG, which gives it the ability to go from 0 to 100km/h in 5.1 seconds.
Its 4Motion all-wheel drive system delivers a dynamic driving experience incomparable to none.
Further marking its identity is its R “Vienna” perforated leather seats and 19-inch Pretoria alloy wheels.
Feature highlights include 12.3-inch active info sisplay, 9.2-inch Discover Pro with App-Connect and gesture control, LED headlights with dynamic cornering lights, LED taillights with dynamic indicators and progressive steering.
Other than that, VPCM is also offering rebates on other Volkswagen models.
The models and savings are: Polo: RM4,000, Vento Comfortline: RM10,000, Vento Highline: RM6,000, Golf R-Line: RM2,000, Beetle Sport: RM5,000, Tiguan Highline: RM2,000, Passat Comfortline: RM15,000 and Passat Highline: RM4,000.
The Tiguan Highline, Passat Comfortline and Passat Highline come with five years free maintenance and low interest rate of 1.88% per annum.
Apart from the Tiguan and the Passat, other Volkswagen models come with three years free maintenance, and all models come with five years unlimited mileage warranty and five years roadside assistance.
