KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah Law Society (SLS), through its Legal Advice Clinic, is offering online legal advice to the public beginning March 30 and throughout the enforcement of the Movement Control Order (MCO).

Its president Roger Chin said this was to ensure the people in Sabah would always have access to legal advice and information during the MCO.

“Law firms and the SLS Legal Advice Clinic are among businesses that are required to close during the MCO to ensure the general prohibition of mass movements and gatherings across the country.

“But members of the public in Sabah will be able to click on the link provided on the SLS website at for a private online consultation with SLS volunteer lawyers on duty via communication application Zoom.

To do so, they are required to download and install Zoom in order to utilise this free consultation service,“ he said in a statement here today.

Chin said the virtual service would be available from Monday to Friday at 10am to 10.40am.

He also said a mobile telephone number would be provided to assist those with limited internet connection. -Bernama
