KUALA LUMPUR: Police have detained an actor for allegedly cheating a female director of her investments.
Selangor Deputy Police Chief Datuk Ab Rashid Ab Wahab said the 25-year-old man was detained after he turned up at the Ampang Jaya District Police Headquarters at about 12pm yesterday.
“The man was detained to help in the investigations under Section 4(1) of the Computer Crimes Act 1997,” he told Bernama.
He said the remand application will be made at the Ampang Court today.
It is understood that in June this year, the director lodged a police report on the loss of her investment funds. — Bernama
