PETALING JAYA: The Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) Supreme Council meeting that focused its discussions on issues relating the people’s wellbeing ended at 11.45pm lasat night.

Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, who left the party headquarters here at 11.54pm, said an official statement on the outcome of the meeting will be issued by Bersatu secretary-general Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainuddin tomorrow (7 Jan) morning.

“The secretary-general will be issuing an official statement. We discussed a lot of matters,” Muhyiddin told reporters after chairing the meeting.

Meanwhile, party deputy president Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu said the meeting discussed matters of public interest, including the Covid-19 pandemic and the country’s flood situation and also plans to render assistance on the ground.

Earlier, Muhyiddin arrived for the meeting at 8.25pm.

Present were party vice-president Datuk Seri Dr Ronald Kiandee, Supreme Council members Datuk Seri Mohamad Azmin Ali and Datuk Seri Mohd Redzuan Md Yusof and Pahang Bersatu chief Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah.

Also in attendance were Srikandi (Women) chief Datuk Seri Rina Mohd Harun, Armada (youth) chief Wan Ahmad Fayshal Wan Ahmad Kamal, Information chief Wan Saiful Wan Jan and Srikandi vice-chief Datuk Mas Ermieyati Samsudin. — Bernama
