Cops nab 12 drug pushers in two operations

SEREMBAN: Twelve drug distributors were nabbed in two operations, namely, Op Ice Breaker 2.0 and Op Dam Tokan 4.0, conducted by the Negri Sembilan Narcotics Criminal Investigation Division (NCID) from Jan 1 until yesterday.

State NCID chief, Supt Pang Jin Lai said police also seized numerous types of drugs worth RM32,000 from the suspects.

‘’The suspects, who are from 25 to 52 years old, were arrested in Tampin (two), Seremban (six), Jempol (three) and Port Dickson (one) districts. Police also seized 230.1 grammes of syabu, 167.6 grammes of heroin and 58 grammes of ganja,’’ he said in a statement here today.

‘’We are very serious in our all-out missions to eradicate drugs by focusing on nabbing drug distributors statewide and crippling their finances by seizing their property through the Dangerous Drugs Act 1988 (Forfeiture of Property),’’ he said.

Meanwhile, he said 20 arrests of repeat and hardcore drug addicts were made during the same period in Op Double Dose under Section 39C of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952. — Bernama
