KUALA LUMPUR: Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng blamed corruption by the previous administration for the failure to achieve Vision 2020.

He said this when he was delivering his opening budget speech with details of the economic report. His remark led to boos from the opposition.

“The new government is trying to reform several mistakes by the previous administration,” he said.

Lim added that challenges such as US-China trade war had an impact on the growth of the country’s economy.
