KUALA LUMPUR: The daily Covid-19 cases in the country has exceeded 17,000 for the second consecutive day with 17,170 new cases reported today.
Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah in a tweet said with the new cases, the cumulative number of cases has increased to 1,078,646.
Selangor continued to report the highest number of new infections at 7,163 cases, followed by Kuala Lumpur with 2,138 cases.
“In addition Kedah recorded 1,212 cases; Johor (1,054); Negeri Sembilan (884); Sabah (776); Pahang (638); Kelantan (615); Perak (596); Sarawak (582); Penang (554); Terengganu (437) and Melaka (416), ”he said.
Meanwhile Putrajaya recorded 84 cases followed by Labuan (11) and Perlis (10). — Bernama
