Darling ... take charge, Rosmah tells Najib

PETALING JAYA: Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor was heard telling her husband Datuk Seri Najib Razak to “take charge” because he was prime minister in an audio clip released by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) today.

The recordings allegedly show Najib and other high-ranking individuals conspiring to manipulate information related to 1Malaysia Development Bhd.

“I don’t like this. Darling, you are the prime minister, you should take in charge, not anybody else, OK?” Rosmah is heard saying in a loud and firm voice in one of nine audio clips MACC released to the media today.

Najib responds by saying, “Yup, I understand”.

“You’ve got fools around you,” said Rosmah.

Their exchange appears to relate to the appointment of former MACC chief commissioner Tan Sri Dzulkifli Ahmad, who was appointed to head the anti-graft agency in August 2016. He resigned in May 2018.
