KOTA KINABALU: A fireman suffered an electric shock during a firefighting operation at a house located near Kota Marudu yesterday.
Latif Muhamar Sabindo Latapa, 28, of the Kota Marudu Fire & Rescue Station, felt numb and was rushed to the Kota Marudu Hospital in an ambulance following the incident at Jalan Lotong in Kampung Lotong at 8.30pm.
He was allowed to return home after treatment, according to the operations centre of the Sabah Fire & Rescue Department.
The department was summoned at 8.25pm over the fire at the house. The blaze destroyed the house and partially burnt a car.
No one was injured in the fire. — Bernama
