Floods in Perak subside, all evacuees return home

IPOH: The flash floods that struck some areas in Perak two days have subsided, enabling all evacuees in relief centres to return to their homes.

The Perak Disaster Management Committee Secretariat said today 35 evacuees housed at the Dewan Dato Azman Mahalan relief centre in Kuala Dipang in the Kampar District returned to their homes today and the centre was closed at 10am.

The 19 evacuees from Kampung Parit Abu Hassan returned to their homes from the Sekolah Kebangsaan Alor Pongsu relief centre in the Kerian District and the centre was closed at 2pm today, it said in a statement. — Bernama
