Flying Sikh dies in motorcycle accident in India

PETALING JAYA: Rishiwant Singh Randhawa, the director of humanitarian aid organisation United Sikhs, was killed in a motorcycle accident in Punjab, India today.

Asia Samachar, an independent news portal for Sikhs, reported that Rishiwant was involved in an accident not too far away from a Guru Nanak Ashram in Patiala.

Also known as the Flying Sikh, Rishiwant was a well-known humanitarian aid worker who was also the founder of the Malaysian Foodbank Organisation.

He was also active in promoting the Multi-faith Goodwill Walk which aims to feed the homeless and indigenous people of Malaysia.
