MIRI: The police arrested four men and seized RM2,720 worth of syabu in a raid at a house at the Quadruplex Permyjaya last night.

Sarawak Narcotics Crime Investigation Department (NCID) chief Supt Hasnir Abdul Hamid said the four suspects, aged between 22 and 31, were arrested for alleged possession of 17 g of Syabu at about 9.20pm.

“All the suspects were unemployed, with three of them confirmed to be drug-positive after a urine test,“ he said in a statement today.

He said the seized Syabu was found in six packets and 27 straws.

According to him, all the suspects had no previous criminal records and the case was being investigated under sections 15 (1) and 39 (A) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952. — Bernama
