KUALA LUMPUR: The Special Operations Force raided a warehouse in Pulau Indah Industrial Park (PIIP) in Klang and seized various smuggled items in “Op Kontraban” on April 10.

Bukit Aman Internal Security and Public Order Department (Operations) deputy director Datuk Azri Ahmad said the items seized consisted of liquor, white cigarettes, as well as gaming machines and a central processing unit (CPU) used for gambling purposes.

He said a total of 3,371 boxes of liquor of various brands, 1,505 boxes of untaxed white cigarettes, 160 units of gaming machines as well as 29 units of CPUs were confiscated.

“The entire seizure, including taxes, is estimated to be worth more than RM19 million. No arrests have been made while the police track down the warehouse owner according to Section 135 (1) (e) of the Customs Act 1967,“ he said in a statement today. -Bernama
