Jalan Bangsar closed after body found on road

KUALA LUMPUR: The body of a man inflicted with horrific injuries was found dumped by his killers along Jalan Bangsar early yesterday.

Brickfields police chief ACP Zairulnizam Mohd Zainuddin said today that a passerby had alerted police to the body at about 5.40pm before an investigations team was despatched to the scene.

He said police found no identification documents on the victim’s body which had multiple injuries believed to be caused by a sharp object.

“The identity of the victim and the motive of the murder is being investigated. We have sent the body to the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC) for a post mortem,“ Zairulnizam said.

To facilitate investigations, police temporarily closed the road today until the body was removed.

Forensics police found the victim’s jaw was torn and he suffered deep wounds in his chest, genitals and hands.
