Latheefa: Clear indication of govt’s commitment to fight graft

PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission welcomes the announcement of the additional staffing for the agency in the 2020 Budget today.

MACC chief commissioner, Latheefa Koya (pix), said the addition of 100 employees by 2020, is a clear indication of the government’s commitment to fight corruption.

“The RM10 million allocation for risk assessment tests for all ministries, departments and government agencies will strengthen the focus of the MACC’s prevention efforts in eradicating corruption,“ she said in a statement.

Earlier in the 2020 Budget announcement, delivered by Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng, also announced the implementation of reform through the enactment of laws and the establishment of institutions such as the Independent Police Complaints and Misconduct Commission (IPCMC).
